Bellamy Young was born in Asheville, North Carolina on 19 February 1970. Actress who appeared on Mellie Grant, the first Lady on Scandal on ABC. She also had a recurring part in the role of Beth Clemmons on CBS's Criminal Minds. She was a writer and producer. She worked alongside writer-producer Shonda Rhimes on both Private Practice and Scandal. Both private Practice as well as Scandal. She went to Asheville High School and graduated in 1987. She attended Yale University majoring initially in Physics but later pursuing English as well as Theatre. She finished her studies in 1991. Young spent a summer during the college years at the British American Drama Academy in England. Young is vegan and is since 1988.
