Suzy Kolber was born Suzanne Lisa Kolber on May 14 1964 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to a Jewish family. Suzy is now 58. Sandra Kolber is her mother and Gene Kolber is her father. She is a graduate of Upper Dublin High School in Pennsylvania as well as Sandy Run Middle School. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from The University of Miami, in 1986. Her first job was an executive director of sports at Dynamic Cable located in Coral Gables Florida while she was still an undergraduate college student. In addition she was employed by Dynamic Cable for two additional periods between 1984 and. During this period she was also a member of the Miami University's water ski team. The Tisch School of the Arts of New York University she studied the film and television production. A stroke caused her to suffer temporary expressive paraphasia when she was 20 years old.
